Spring Family Campout

For more info, contact Spring Family Campout Coordinator: Elizabeth P.

Grab your tent, sleeping bag and camping gear as we get back in touch with nature!

We are camping at a park that is heavily wooded with coast live oak and sycamore trees. The hillsides surrounding the park are filled with cactus, wild buckwheat, sagebrush and chaparral of scrub oak, buckthorn and mountain mahogany. More than 23 miles of scenic trails can be explored by foot, bicycle or horseback.

The Pack is providing 5 meals, snacks, and beverages. Each den is responsible for planning and preparing (but not purchasing food) at least one meal for all attendees, but we will all chip in as needed. Check with your den leader for information.

Cost for this campout will be $30/person and will cover the cost of meals/snacks and facility charges.

Please make sure to bring a water bottle and re-useable dishes for each member of your Party. Mess kits are strongly encouraged. Paper/plastic products will NOT be available in an effort to help the environment.

All scouts please travel & arrive in full uniform. Pack T-shirts may be worn during setup and activities, but full uniform should be worn for the campfire. Please bring along sunscreen, a hat and jacket for all participants. The weather is likely to be cool in the evening so plan to layer for warmth. We encourage adults to wear Pack 1238 t-shirts so that we are easily identifiable by our scouts when hiking and outside of our campsite. A limited supply of tents is available; just let us know if you would like to use one.
